ash loading block with 9mm cartridges

New Product! Custom wooden ammunition loading blocks.

Northern Nevada Brass is working on creating several types of custom wooden ammunition loading blocks for holding and organizing your brass while in the process of re-loading the brass cartridges. We have several species of wood available from local sources (from my neighbors’ and my yards), and the garage has turned into a woodworking shop. We have mainly ash, but also the Russian olive and Chinese elm look nice. The elm is very dense and will make a very stable loading block. The Russian olive blocks are less dense and better for thicker blocks may be used for rifle-size cartridges. The ash is a dense hardwood that mills up very well creating a durable and decorative accessory for you loading areas. We have some cherry wood but have work much of it yet.

We have a fair amount of box elder as we had several trees fall last winter. The wood is comparatively soft and really blonde with some pale red streaking. Very low density and makes for an extremely light weight loading block. It has some challenges as the dry Nevada air has caused the wood to crack and split a bit more than is desirable. Maybe some can be made available at a lower price. We’ll keep working on that set.

The focused has been on 9mm brass for sale on this site so far, therefore for the hole spacing on the block, 9mm and similar size cartridges have taken priority. .223 REM/ 5.56mm case is nearly identical in width at its widest point to the 9mm Luger so those will fit in the smaller hole sizes. Some of the blocks are shallower and will accommodate a .380 Auto better than the deeper holes.

The larger size will fit a .40 S&W and anything similar, like the rimmed .357 Mag or .38 Special cartridge.

So please buy some brass and get a wooden ammunition loading block to go with it. Help us reach our goal.
