Compatibility Test #1

Compatibility Test #1

In order to verify that our 9mm brass coloring process doesn’t affect the performance of the brass, we recently conducted a series of tests at a local indoor gun range.  Our focus was on the antique black 9mm brass.  We used a variety of cartridge loads, including hollow points and full metal jackets, different primers, and different powder types.

Furthermore, we tested our colored 9mm Luger brass in a variety of different brands of firearm, including:

-Beretta

-Smith & Wesson

-Ruger

-Sig Sauer

-Springfield Armory

The results were very promising.  None of the firearms had any issues cycling the rounds, regardless of the bullet type or powder/primer combination.  Follow-up cleaning after the day at the range showed little to no transfer of the color to the barrel or slide of any of the firearms.  The brass itself shows only a minor scratch where the ejector pin contacted the brass after firing.  And, true to our intention, our brass was very recognizable on the ground when combined with the brass from other shooters visiting the range that particular day.

We are very excited with the results and hope to offer our product to the general public in the very near future.  Stay tuned!
